It is not too often that a video for a nugely popular US skatepunk band is actually an experiment in film theory, but that is how the new Blink 182 clip originated.
Director Joseph Kahn had been reflecting upon the scientific properties of film-making - and actively seeking to expand upon them. It took him to achieve what he terms "fifth-dimensional editing" - and then fate took a hand.
"I think there's a big correlation between physics and film-making," says Kahn.
