From that day forward, Kahn was set on becoming the most famous (read: sexy) music director ever. Which he's done, driven in part by his desire to dump the four-eyes image for good. The self-described super-geek was a high-school loner who spent Friday nights at the multiplex, and despite his success, he still comes off like the guy who didn't have a prom date.
But "it's a good sense of low self-esteem, 'cause it makes me work a little harder," he says. Kahn's diligence has paid off: In mid-January, he makes the leap to the big screen with the motorcycle-gang speed-fest Torque, starring pge. Cube. What? Not that plot again? Don't "'Worry—Kahn's actioner won't suck like the Diesel-fueled Fast And The Furious. "That movie was so shitty," he says. "But then, who cares about filmmaking?
